These figs are noted for their delicious, nut-like flavor and tender, golden skin. A popular favorite for eating out of hand. May be used in fig bars and pastes. About twice the size of a Conadria Fig. Storage: Easily kept for reasonable periods of time. Best if kept in an air tight container at a maximum temperature of 45 degrees F (7 degrees C). May tend to sugar and darken in color (this is a natural process).
Figs do what is called “sugaring” the natural fruit sugar comes out and it looks like they have white powder on them. This is normal and also happens with dates as well. Many look at this white powder and think the figs are spoiled, when in fact they are not.
